Shiva and Stryke free this weekend

A Miami techno free party at Blue with some real bite. No sense in missing this. Dj Shiva’s first appearance in Miami Beach will be welcomed by local hero, dj Stryke. Stryke, of course, has played as important a role as anybody in the South Florida techno scene, juggling roles through out the years as a dj, producer, promoter, resident, record buyer, store manager, and product rep.

Cuz we’re not talkin about Sir Stirling the classy old geriatric, we’re talking about triple decks techno geezer James “Sterling” Moss… main main to UK techno label RaceTrax, yes, the guy who brought us choons on the label from acid techno mafia kingpin Guy McAffer, all-around wicked party chic and radio jock Anne Savage, PowerTools addict Ant, and even Lab 4, yes THIS Sterling Moss, will be banging the decks Saturday, January 27 at the Penthouse Lounge, 1434 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. Blackbox Soundsystem is getting dusted off again and will be in full effect on the night… so come on out and support Sobebeats for another of their fun free parties. Control, he’s here… Ivan’s mix from Maximum at Blue

Ivan Acosta-Rubio of Sobebeats with an electro techno set that was recorded live at Blue in South Beach at their party called Maximum on November 25. This was an excellent little party. Blackbox Soundsystem stacked extra sound to warm the place up, and if you’ve ever been there, you can imagine how cozy and warm the sound was after an additional 5k watts. Anyway, Ivan’s set is gonna make you start dancing like Douglas McCarthy. Yes the mix features some Nitzer Ebb remixes…
