Locals only dj sets are on tap for the kick-off on Monday.

For techno purists, this year’s conference will have some Detroit support, and some others from Europe who have become regulars over the years: Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Mistress Barbara from Canada… to name a few. I am especially looking forward to seeing Punisher’s return for a Live PA and dj set as well as Matthew Dear.

But the big news at this conference I think will be in the electrclash/retroclub/dirty disco/French electro areas. This is the first WMC in which festival-goers can party to Peaches, Miss Kittin, DJ Hell, The Presets, MSTRKRFT, Justice, the Ed Banger Records crew, Tiga… all in one week.

Finally, of course, is the staple World of DnB with the heavy hittin sound, we just can’t deny it… It’s gonna be wicked…
